Coronavirus won’t stop Guardians or Suicide Squad sequels!

Despite near every other film being pushed due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, filmmaker James Gunn has assured fans “The Suicide Squad” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3″ won’t be delayed.

“Right now there’s no reason for ‘The Suicide Squad’ release date to move”, Gunn posted on Twitter. “We are on or ahead of schedule. We were extremely fortunate to wrap shooting and set up editing from our homes (due to a post production team and studio with foresight) before quarantine.”

The former Troma-employee says editing the film is going “pretty smooth in the time of quarantine” but that we may have to wait longer for clips, trailers and official stills to be released.

As for “Guardians”, Gunn says “Right now the plans with ‘Vol. 3′ are also exactly the same as they were before coronavirus.”
