“Crazy Rich Asians” and “A Simple Favor” star Henry Golding will star in a solo jaunt about “G.I Joe” rogue Snake Eyes.
Golding takes on the role previously played by “Star Wars” alum Ray Park in the live-action feature film adaptations of the Hasbro toyline.
Robert Schwentke (“RED”) will direct the film, with Evan Spiliotopoulos scripting.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script will “center on Snake Eyes seeking revenge for his father’s death by joining ninja clan, in process finding acceptance.”
Be interesting to see how fans react to this take, considering Golding will likely talk and show that pretty mug of his and Snake Eyes never spoke or showed his face.
