Sarah Michelle Gellar recently announced via the social nets that she’s agreed to reprise her “Cruel Intentions” role for the upcoming NBC series [sequel] spin-off.
The former “Buffy” star would seem to have gotten into ‘Kathryn’ mode rather quickly, teasing her new look (she’s brunette again) on Instagram.
So far Gellar is the only actor from the original 1999 movie to be returning for the series, with Taylor John Smith playing Bash Casey, Kate Levering playing Annette Hargrove, Coby Bell playing Pascal Barrett, Kathryn’s husband who is a powerful attorney and Nathalie Kelley Carmen, who works for Kathryn and Pascal. Samantha Jade Logan and Sophina Brown have also been cast in the pilot, which “Cruel Intentions” director Roger Kumble is directing.
