“Rocky Balboa” and “This Is Us” star Milo Ventimiglia will star as daredevil Evel Knievel for a limited series that has been ordered at USA Network. It doesn’t sound like Sony and Marvel are going to kiss and make up anytime soon. According to Sony chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra, there’s next to no hope of Spider-Man appearing in any MCU films in the near future. “We had a great run with [Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige] on Spider-Man movies. We tried to see if there’s a way to work it out….the Marvel people are terrific people, we have great respect for them, but on the other hand we have some pretty terrific people of our own. Amanda Seyfried, Finn Wittrock, Amy Irving, Jennifer Carpenter and Paul Giamatti are currently lensing Amy Koppelman’s “A Mouthful of Air”. Based on Koppelman’s novel of the same name, the script is a character piece examining the relationship between the creative process and mental illness. Seyfried will star as Julie, a new mom and children’s book author, who escapes into the bright Crayola colored world of her creation in order to leave behind the darkness caused by her post partum depression. The Buchmans are back! Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt reprise their roles in the Sony Pictures Television-produced limited event series on Wednesday, November 20 when the first six episodes drop ad-free exclusively on Spectrum’s On Demand platform. The final six episodes will release on Wednesday, December 18. The series will explore the fertile ground of modern marriage through the eyes of the Buchmans as newly minted empty-nesters after dropping their unpredictable, hard-to-control daughter Mabel (Abby Quinn) off at college.
