David Duchovny to hunt Charles Manson in new NBC series

David Duchovny will star in the new NBC series “Aquarius”, says Variety.

The former “X-Files” and “Californication” star would play a L.A police seargent in the ’60s who, while trying to sort out his complicated personal life, is on the hunt for one Charles Manson.

The plan is that the series will follow “the twists and turns” of Manson’s early efforts, but the horrific murder spree in August 1969 that made his name synonymous with evil will not enter the story until subsequent seasons.

NBC has ordered 13 episodes of the show, straight-to-series.
