Former “Friends” star David Schwimmer is set for a recurring role on “Will & Grace”, soon heading into its second season since the revival: its 10th overall.
According to Deadline, Schwimmer will play Grace’s (Debra Messing) new love interest, which is said to be a 5-episode arc for the actor.
This will be Schwimmer’s big return to the sitcom world, following a long stint on drama projects since “Friends” ended. He recently portrayed Robert Kardashian in “The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”, earning himself an Emmy nomination.
“Will & Grace” returns to screens for an 18-episode second season on October 4th, and has already been penned in for an 18-episode third season. Other guest stars this year are Alec Baldwin (returning), Chelsea Handler and Mary McCormack (returning).
