In-demand Hackney actor Idris Elba (“Luther”, the upcoming “Hobbs & Shaw”) is said to be playing Bronze Tiger in James Gunn’s forthcoming “Suicide Squad” reboot.
Initial reports suggested that was taking over the role of Deadshot from departing star Will Smith, who fronted the original 2016 film.
Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad”, which features only a couple of cast members from the original David Ayer-directed film (including Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and Jai Courtney’s Captain Boomerang), will serve as a fresh start for WB’s DCEU film property. The pic is set to hit theaters on August 6, 2021.
