In a surprise move (or is it? These are decidedly different times we’re in), the cast of TV staple “Days of Our Lives” have been released from their contracts.
No, this doesn’t mean NBC has axed the long-running soap, it simply means that something is happening… because the current cast are free to find other work.
If they’re asked to return, the players would have to negotiate new contracts. Quite a process.. for an entire cast.
The net could be simply rehauling the series, bringing in a new cast for the 51st season (!), or it could be an indication that the sands in the hourglass have finally all hit the base.
