Director, Actor somewhat keen on pursuing Trump movie

Two Hollywood players are considering a feature based on POTUS Donald Trump.

Oliver Stone, whose past fimish exposes on presidents included “JFK” and “Nixon”,  tells Deadline that he’s somewhat interested in a Trump movie but “he’s changing the script every day. He can outperform any movie. It’d be crazy to make a movie [now]. He’s quite a performer, you know, he reminds me of King Lear. He’s quite mad, in a way. He’s, you know, “Which daughter loves me more?” You know he wants to be loved so much, and he’s so tyrannical. I don’t know if he realizes some of the things he says, but it’s so dopey.”

If a Trump movie does get the go-ahead (and we just know it will… at some stage), one actor that’s keen on portraying the 74-year-old republican is “Aliens” and “Shawshank Redemption” actor Mark Rolston.

Rolston appeared on The Production Meeting podcast this week and revealed that he’s growing his hair out during the pandemic, and brushing up on his Trump, to see if he can’t get the gig to play the president on the big screen when the pandemic passes.
