“Puss in Boots 2” is officially on the move, with the film nabbing the director of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” – Bob Persichetti. Persichetti’s “Into the Spider-Verse” just won an Oscar, and the director also voiced in 2011’s “Puss in Boots”, which was a massive success around the globe.
“Puss in Boots” had a voice cast including Antonio Banderas as Puss, Salma Hayek (Kitty Softpaws), Zach Galifianakis (Humpty Alexander Dumpty), Billy Bob Thorton (Jack), Amy Sedaris (Jill) and Constance Marie (Imelda).
No release date has been set for the DreamWorks Animated film as yet. News via Deadline.
Gavin O’Connor (“The Accountant”) is in talks to direct “Fast” for Warner Bros, reports Variety. The film was written by “Sicario” scribe Taylor Sheridan, who was also looking to direct but couldn’t nab a deal. Previously, Chris Pratt’s name circled the lead role.
David Heyman and Jeff Clifford are producing the pic through Heyday Films. It follows a former special forces commando who’s recruited by the DEA to lead a black ops strike team targeting drug dealers who are protected by the CIA.
