Disney confirms Frozen 2

In addition to announcing the new “Star Wars” standalone film – in essence, it’s new title and star – Disney also announced today that plans are officially in motion to bring Olaf the singing snowman back to cinemas.

While Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios CCO John Lasseter and Disney CEO Bob Iger were happy to announce development on “Frozen 2”, they didn’t go into specifics, nor reveal an estimated release date. Knowing animated projects take a while to come together though, you’re likely looking at about 2018.

Short film “Frozen Fever” plays in front of “Cinderella” in US Cinemas this weekend.
