Disney has tapped Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin to pen “Deadpool 3”, with Ryan Reynolds set to reprise his role as the wise-cracking Marvel superhero.
According to Deadline, writer meetings have been taking place over the past month with the actor and producer recently meeting with a handful of writers to hear their pitches for the next installment. The House of Mouse and Reynolds agreed that the sisters’ take on the property was the right fit.
While “Deadpool 3” remains in development and has no firm start date, the hiring of writers suggest they’re serious about getting it done.
