Downton Abbey fave joins Will Ferrell’s Eurovision comedy

Dan Stevens (“Downton Abbey”) has joined the cast of director David Dobkin and Netflix’s “Eurovision” comedy.

Starring Will Smith and Rachel McAdams, the laffer fixes on two aspiring Icelandic musicians Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir, who are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition. At Eurovision, they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for.

Pierce Brosnan was recently cast as Erick Erickssong, Lars’ father and the most handsome man in Iceland.

Stevens plays Alexander Lemtov, a Russian contestant in the Eurovision song contest.

The film is currently in production in the UK and Iceland.
