Dune double feature bill inevitable!

Legendary has finally confirmed that the spice will be sprinkled over two separate features, confirming that Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” will be the first of a two-parter.

Taking its cue from the two-flick adaptation of Stephen King’s “It”, this latest adaptation of the Frank Herbert sci-fi classic will be shot and released before the second even rolls an inch of film. Villeneuve had previously hinted that the movie would be split into two, assuring fans that the first will end with a natural break.

Legendary CEO Joshua Grode tells THR : “There’s a backstory that was hinted at in some of the books [that we expanded]. Also, when you read the book there’s a logical place to stop the movie before the book is over.”

Dave Bautista will star in “Dune”

If only Dino had granted David Lynch the same luxury to spread the yarn out over two films, right?

“Dune” Chapter One, starring Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Stephen Henderson, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem, opens November 20, 2020.
