Dwayne Johnson talks Fast and Furious 9 and Vin Diesel feud

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a Hollywood powerhouse, not only in terms of acting, but also of stature. His latest flicks have all been quite successful, and it’s pretty clear that a movie with Johnson is a sure-fire winner.

The wrestler-turned-actor spoke with Rolling Stone magazine for a candid and very interesting interview, and regardless of what we report to you: you should definitely read it!

In the conversation, Johnson addresses the feud that went down (publicly, mind you) with fellow “Fast and Furious” co-star Vin Diesel. He assures us that the feud is technically over, and that he harbours no ill-will and states there is clarity. Oh wait, scrap the ill-will, let’s just stick with clarity for now.

“Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer,” he says. “And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”

So what does that mean in terms of “Fast and Furious 9”? Johnson reiterates that he doesn’t know if he will be involved, but is currently working hard on the spinoff – “Hobbs and Shaw” with Jason Statham – and due next year.

Given that Johnson and Diesel didn’t appear in any scenes together in “The Fate of the Furious”, it’s still possible for them to appear in the same movie without ever having to cross paths. But that will remain to be seen.
