“Gold” thesp Zac Efron will star in Sean Durkin’s (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”) “The Iron Claw” for A24.
The true story tells of the Von Erich family, a dynasty of wrestlers who made a huge impact on the sport from the 1960s to the present day. The Durkin penned-directed film, developed by House Productions, with the support of Access Entertainment, and BBC Film, will chronicle the clan’s rise and fall.
Meanwhile, the unlikely duo of Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell are attached to star in a new untitled wedding comedy from “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “BROS” director Nick Stoller.
Per Deadline, UTA is handling offers for the laffer of which there are already offers on the table.
