“Lucy” actor Amr Waked has joined the cast of Gerard Butler sci-fier “Geostorm”.
The Egyptian actor will play Ray Dussette, the French head of security at an international space station.
Dean Devlin is making his feature directorial debut on the project which follows a man who heads into space to prevent climate-controlling satellites from creating a storm of epic proportions. Meanwhile, his brother discovers a plot to assassinate the president.
Katheryn Winnick, Ed Harris, Andy Garcia and Sterling Jerins also star with Devlin’s Electric Entertainment producing with Skydance Prods.
The film will bow on October 21, 2016.
