Actor cum filmmaker Eric Stoltz will direct “Class Rank”, an offbeat indie comedy described as a mesh of John Hughes and Wes Anderson, says Deadline.
SSS Entertainment and Single Cell Pictures house the picture, which is based on a script by Ben August.
Olivia Holt (“I Didn’t Do It”) headlines the film, which follows two teenagers and two grandparents whose worlds are upended when love walks in the door.
Stoltz, best known for his onscreen performances in such classic as “Mask”, “Pulp Fiction” and “Some Kind of Wonderful”, has directed quite a bit of TV in recent years.
