Ethan Hawke and Amanda Seyfried are set to star in writer/director Paul Schrader’s film “First Reformed”.
Hawke will play an ex-military chaplain who is grief-stricken and struggling with his faith following the death of his son. He meets a member of his church (Seyfried) whose husband, a radical environmentalist, commits suicide.
The thriller from comes from Arclight Films and Killer Films. Producers are Christine Vachon and David Hinojosa of Kilelr Films, along with Gary Hamilton and executive producer Brian Beckmann.
