No more carb-hungry amphibians for cinema’s newest April O’Neil.
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Transformers” star Megan Fox is seeking out diamond thieves in her next pic.
The actress is circling “Stones”, a jewel heist action-adventure-thriller from “Alpha Dog” helmer Nick Cassavetes. It’s a tough lead role in a super-fun thrill-ride about a couple caught up with seasoned crooks.
The project, Cassavetes first since 2014’s “The Other Woman”, was originally announced in 2018 as “The Manuscript”and at the time featured a cast including Scott Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and Jamie Foxx.
Eastwood remains the headline star – the kind of plum, perfect role for the superstar on the rise.
The “Fate of the Furious” star plays Trevor Parkes, an assistant editor for a top publisher that finds a manuscript from prison claiming to tell the true story behind a major unsolved diamond heist. He and his girlfriend Maggie (Fox) soon find themselves pawns in a criminal mastermind’s dangerous game.
Combined, the producers on this have worked on such beauties as “John Wick”, “Deepwater Horizon” and Netflix’s “Ozark”, so expect something super fun, very solid. Joe Rosenbaum and Louis Rosenberg scripted.
