Captain America’s buddies Falcon and Winter Soldier are teaming for a limited series at the Disney streaming service, Variety has confirmed.
Malcolm Spellman, who cut his teeth as a writer and executive producer on “Empire”, will write the series, currently in develop-ment at the mouse’s new online streaming avenue.
The two characters were played by Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, respectively, on the big screen. Assumingly, Disney would want the two back for the small-screen spin-off.
The news of the new series – one of several Marvel series be-lieved to be in the works for the streamer – comes hot on the heels of Netflix’s cancellation of Marvel series “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist”.
