Fassbender, Foxx, Dinklage are a Wild Bunch?

Mel Gibson is courting Michael Fassbender, Jamie Foxx and Peter Dinklage for his remake of Peckinpah classic “The Wild Bunch”.

The “Dragged Across Concrete” star is co-writing and directing the new take

The pic, co-written by Bryan Bagby,  follows aging outlaws trying to live out the final days of the Wild West even as the 20th century has no use for them. The 1969 version is remembered for being violent but predominantly influential.

Fassbender (“Prometheus”), Foxx (“Robin Hood”) and Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”) would replace such classic names as William Holden and Ernest Borgnine on the credits block of the poster.

No word if Gibson himself will appear in the film, but if he should, we don’t need to worry that he’ll look out of place in a western.
