Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson will write, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel) will direct a new standalone Star Wars movie, set after the Skywalker sequel trilogy.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, the Lost alum and The Strain writer, respectively, team on a script that won’t fix on the Skywalker family but may feature characters from the most recent films.
The trade says the mysterious project – well, mysterious enough – will likely release 2025, at the earliest.
