First Trailer for The Three Stooges Hits the Web

Remember a couple of months ago when we got our first official look at Will Sasso, Sean Hayes and Chris Diamantopoulos as the Three Stooges and mostly everyone agreed how great all three them looked as the stooges? Yeah, well. I can’t imagine the same will be said based on the newly released teaser trailer that Apple put out. This sure as hell ain’t Apple’s fault, if anything, it’s the Farrelly Brothers. I’m not hating on them, because the Farrelly’s have bought us great comedies like “Dumb and Dumber” and “There’s Something About Mary”, but their take on the three stooges is something else.

I watched the trailer and ugh. I didn’t like it at all. All three dudes, Sasso, Hayes and Diamantopoulos may have the original stooges movements and other little sayings and gags down pat, but I just didn’t like this trailer. I didn’t laugh so I’m kinda glad at the fact that Jim Carrey, Sean Penn, and Benicio Del Toro are no longer the leads after Sasso and company took over. And the fact that Snooki of all people seems to have a cameo of sorts in the film…wtf for? I’m glad she got poked in the eyes, but still. She’s unnecessary.

Anyway, for those still interested, here’s a mini plot synopsis that’s been released:

Left on a nun’s doorstep, Larry, Curly and Moe grow up finger-poking, nyuk-nyuking and woo-woo-wooing their way to uncharted levels of knuckleheaded misadventure. Out to save their childhood home, only The Three Stooges could become embroiled in an oddball murder plot…while also stumbling into starring in a phenomenally successful TV reality show.

“The Three Stooges” is set to hit theaters on April 13, 2012 in the U.S. and a day early in Australia.
