Former Neighbours star wins It : Chapter Two role

Kiwi actor Jay Ryan, who cut his teeth on local shores with the plum role of Jake Scully on Aussie soapie “Neighbours” before making waves in the U.S playing the male lead in The CW’s “Beauty and the Beast”, has been cast as the adult version of Ben Hanscom in New Line Cinema’s “It : Chapter Two”.

Ryan plays the role Jeremy Ray Taylor originated in last year’s “It”.

The cast of the sequel also includes Jessica Chastain, Andy Bean, James Ransone, James McAvoy, and Bill Hader with Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise. Andy Muschietti will be directing based on a script by Gary Dauberman.
