G.I Joe 2 helmer gets Matched

Jon M.Chu (“G.I Joe Retaliation”) will direct Disney’s “Matched”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film adaptation of Ally Condie’s futuristic YA novel, to be produced by “Hairpsray” helmer Adam Shankman and producing partner Jennifer Gibgot, is said to be “set in a future society where people are told what to read, what to watch, what to believe and who to love” with the story centering on “a young woman who rejects an arranged romance and chooses her own path.”

Michelle and Kieran Mulroney, whose credits include “Sherlock Holmes : A Game of Shadows” and an abandoned “Justice League of America” movie script, wrote “Matched”.
