"Gadget 2" brighter and more cartoony than first

Video Premiere Awards have the first online review of the direct-to-video sequel "Inspector Gadget 2". Among the merit they give, they say "Brighter and more cartoony than its predecessor, Gadget 2 zips along on a warm breeze, never pausing to permit questions of logic." But the bummer? "What’s missing is the daffy menace of the original film’s Dr. Claw, Rupert Everett. The producers have reverted to the animated TV version’s device of never showing his face, which might have traditionalists rejoicing but is missed in the live action rendering".
