Galaxy Quest cast reflect on film in clip from Never Surrender doc

Twenty years ago next month, a pop-culture phenomenon was born: “Galaxy Quest” came to theaters in December 1999, and though it was a moderate box-office success, the last two decades have seen it become a genuine cult movie. It was also the first movie to really address the power of fandom and the enormous influence of “con-culture.”

On Tuesday, November 26, Fathom Events is teaming up with Fandom and Screen Junkies for a one-day-only special in-cinema event: The premiere of “Never Surrender : A ‘Galaxy Quest’ Documentary”, which features appearances by Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Sam Rockwell, Rainn Wilson, Justin Long, Tony Shalhoub, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Enrico Colantoni, Missi Pyle, director Dean Parisot, Will Wheaton and Brent Spiner . Get your tix here!

To coincide with the release, Fathom has released a new clip from the doc – which we can’t wait to see! – in which the cast and crew reflect on the decidedly low-tech way one of the movie’s key moments was brought to life on screen.
