Game Night helmers in talks for Dungeons & Dragons. Fitting!

That long-proposed redo of the “Dungeons & Dragons” film franchise is inching forward with it lads Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley tapped to direct the film.

The Justin Whalin-less film, set up at Paramount and Hasbro’s AllSpark Pictures banner, has been in the works for a number of of years. The thing has been in and out of court, due to a rights dispute and in recent times, Chris McKay was attached to direct a version of Warner Bros and New Line. Paramount nabbed the film rights after WB and New Line lost them, and tapped Michael Gilio to adapt.

Goldstein and Daley, whose credits include “Horrible Bosses”, “Spider-Man : Homecoming” and “Vacation”, recently helmed “Game Night”, the New Line/Warner Bros dark comedy about a group of players when their usual game night collides with a kidnapping that may or may not be part of the game. That could’ve helped snare them the job.
