Following a brouhaha over some iffy posts on Twitter, actress Gina Carano has seemingly been let go from Disney+’s “The Mandalorian”.
According to a Disney rep via io9, the MMA fighter cum thesp won’t be back on the show- but they don’t state whether it’s because of her posts.
“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”
Just prior to the announcement, a hashtag stating #FireGinaCarano started circulating on Twitter.
Carano played Cara Dunne on the Disney+ hit.
