Guy Pearce’s next is ‘Training Day meets The Exorcist’

Guy Pearce, back in horror mode after turns in such genre classics as “Ravenous” and “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark”, will star in the next film for Fangoria.

“The Seventh Day”, described as “Training Day” meets “The Exorcist”, begins production early next year under the direction of scribe Justin P.Lange.
Voltage Pictures are shopping the pic at AFM.

Pic sees a renowned exorcist teams up with a rookie priest for his first day of training. As they plunge deeper into hell on earth, the lines between good and evil blur, and their own demons emerge.

“This is a story about the rising spread of a pervasive evil. We live in an increasingly dark world, one where it’s difficult to know who to trust, or what to believe. It’s a scary time, and scary times call for scary movies,” Lange shares.

He adds, “Guy Pearce is an extraordinary talent – that rare combination of bona fide movie star and consummate artist. I can’t wait for audiences to see what he has in store for them with this role.”

Lange’s precious film, “The Dark” was awarded Fangoria’s Chainsaw award for Best Feature in 2019.

At long last, Joe Manganiello gets his own superhero film!
