Hansel & Gretel : Witch Hunters sequel in the works

Despite making less money than a toothy hooker on Christmas day in North America, “Hansel & Gretel : Witch Hunters” made enough loot internationally to suffice a sequel – seemingly.

The Hollywood Reporter has gotten wind of a surprising plan to turn the Jeremy Renner-Gemma Arterton two-hander into a franchise. Sequel one, which is likely to bring back producers Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Kevin Messick of Gary Sanchez Productions and Beau Flynn, will again be a teaming of MGM and Paramount.

No word yet on whether busy Renner or busty Arterton will return to slay wart-nosed broomstick-yielding beeyatches.
