Harrison Ford joins The Secret Life of Pets 2 in his first ever animated role

Harrison Ford is set to lend his voice to “The Secret Life of Pets 2” – his first ever animated role. The “Star Wars” star will join new voice cast Tiffany Haddish, Patton Oswalt, Nick Kroll and Pete Holmes in the sequel to the successful 2016 flick, which scored big at the box office. Which is no surprise really, everyone loves a cute little animated animal.

The script is by “Minions” writer Brian Lynch and “Despicable Me’s” Chris Renaud is back at the helm after directing the first.

Returning to the voice cast are Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Eric Stonestreet, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress and Bobby Moynihan.

According to the Deadline report, sources said that Oswalt will take over the role of lead dog Max. Louis C.K. voiced the hound in the first film, but the comedian got caught up in a few scandals and is currently in the dog house.

“The Secret Life of Pets 2” is set for release June 7, 2019.
