Harrison Ford promises Indiana Jones 5 will be great

Harrison Ford promises fans of the long-running “Indiana Jones” franchise that if the script for the upcoming film doesn’t cut it, he won’t make it.

“I don’t really want to give them [the audience] what they want to see, I want to give them something they didn’t anticipate”, the iconic thesp tells Hey U Guys. “They are used to a degree of disappointment when you revisit. Certainly, the Marvel movies have made a spectacular example of a success [that] worked the other way around. They killed it! Well, we’re not going to make another Indiana Jones unless we are in a position to kill it. We want it to be the best…We’ve got some scheduling issues and a few script things to do, but we are determined to get it right before we get it made.”

The new film, again directed by Steven Spielberg, is expected to get underway shortly for a July 9 2021 release.

After the rather woeful “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” that’s no doubt music to many ears – but question is, what does Ford consider a bad ‘Indy’ script? He never has commented on the “Crystal Skull” tomato rating. Ahem..
