Hawaiian Lethal Weapon starring Bautista & Momoa a go at MGM

In August, Bautista put the idea out into the universe via Twitter

Lionsgate

Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista will star in a new “Lethal Weapon”-esque buddy cop comedy for MGM.

The lion nabbed the auction for the untitled pitch that teams the “Aquaman” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” stars, respectively, as brothers in a Hawaii-filmed yarn. Jonathan Tripper will write, based on an idea he, Momoa and Bautista hatched.

In August, Bautista put the idea out into the universe – MGM bit.

“Just going to throw this out into the atmosphere and see what happens. Here we go…Me and Momoa in a Lethal Weapon type buddy cop movie directed by David Leitch. Ok! There it is. Now we wait.”

More soon.
