HBO Max remaking ’80s sitcom Perfect Strangers

Robin Thede and London Hughes cast in the new version

’80s sitcom “Perfect Strangers”, starring Mark Linn-Baker and Bronson Pinchot, is getting a makeover at HBO Max.

The new incarnation, says Deadline, will star Robin Thede and London Hughes.

Thede also writes and created the new version.

It will follow perfect strangers, Deja, played by Thede, and Poppy, played by Hughes, who unexpectedly discover they are half-sisters when they both inherit a one-bedroom apartment above a trap yoga studio in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Polar opposites, they must learn how to live and work together.

The original series ran for eight seasons on ABC.
