If Ghost seemed like a little more wired in this week’s episode of “Game of Thrones”, there’s a perfectly fitting explanation.
..Coffee beans.
Eagle-eyed viewers would’ve spotted a Starbucks cup in a scene this week, an out-of-place catch that quickly spread like herpes on a cracked lip across the w’s. Following a series of piss-funny gifs, memes and head-scratching, HBO confirmed that a cup had indeed been left in the scene… but they’d fix it.
(Yep, never too late right!? well…)
Responding to the groans from fans following the blunder, Hauke Richter, “Game of Thrones” art director, said in an email to Variety, “Things can get forgotten on set. [The coffee cup gaffe] so blown out of proportion, it has not happened with ‘Thrones’ so far.”
HBO weren’t as hoity in their response – in fact, they gave us a good chuckle in their return serve.
“The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered a herbal tea,” HBO’s press release read.

Meanwhile, we await for Universal’s response as to why Elliot and Gertie had cans of Coke on their table, at their age, in a scene from “E.T”. Still waiting…
