Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde are set to reprise their “Tron Legacy” roles for the recently announced “Tron Ascension”.
Hedlund played Sam Flynn and Wilde played Quorra in Joseph Kosinski’s 2010 film.
According to Heat Vision, who had the casting scoop,”Ascension” will see Quorra – a character from the game world – continuing to get about in our world. There will also be other parts of the grid crossing over into the real world.
No word yet on whether series staples Jeff Bridges’ Kevin Flynn or Bruce Boxleitner’s Alan Bradley will return for the film.
“Ascension” will film in Vancouver in the Fall.
Kosinski returns as producer; Justin Springer is producing.
