Hitman’s Bodyguard sequel on the way

Update! : The Hollywood Reporter says “Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson are believed to be reprising their roles, although the casting hasn’t been confirmed, while Patrick Hughes is thought to be returning to the director’s chair.”

Announced at Cannes (via Millennium Films’ ‘look at our franchises!’ slate advertistment, see below), a sequel to last year’s “The Hitman’s Bodyguard”.

The new film, “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard” will ostensibly fix on Salma Hayek’s character, Sonya Kincaid, from the 2017 film. No word if Samuel L.Jackson or Ryan Reynolds will reprise their roles from the Patrick Hughes-directed original.

We’ve learnt that Tom O’Connor, the scribe of the original, is back penning the sequel.

Millennium are also prepping a fifth “Rambo”, a fourth “Expendables”, a “Hellboy” remake, a third “Mechanic” movie,and a second sequel to “Olympus has Fallen”.
