Hulu happy to revive Daredevil and Luke Cage

Hulu are open to picking up Netflix’s recently discarded Marvel series’ “Luke Cage” and “Daredevil”.

Craig Erwich, senior vice president of originals over at the streamer, tells The Wrap that Hulu would be happy to give any of the recently cancelled superhero shows a home. “Marvel has a ton of titles we’d be interested in,” he said, “It kind of just depends on when they’re ready, [and] who, most importantly, is going to be behind these things.”

The news comes as Hulu and Marvel announce a union on four new animated offerings, “Howard the Duck,” “M.O.D.O.K..” “Hit-Monkey” and “Tigra & Dazzler” and a crossover special, “The Offenders”, featuring all four characters.

To the surprise of many, Netflix recently canned “Luke Cage” and “Daredevil”, leaving only “The Punisher” and “Jessica Jones” as Netflix offerings. Most assume that the shows – or in the least, the characters within them – will be ported over to Disney’s new streaming service Disney+.
