Indiana Jones 5 – what’s the latest?

Writer of “Solo: A Star Wars Story” Johnathan Kasdan has been brought on to pen the script for “Indiana Jones 5”, reports Collider. Kasdan will replace David Koepp in the role, who also wrote “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”.

Steven Spielberg is directing the 5th instalment, and no comment from Kasdan not Disney/Lucasfilm has been made about the change.

Further to this, the release date of the film has now been pushed back to July 10, 2020. The delay has been blamed on a number of factors, including the change in scribe, and Spielberg’s proper commitments – including West Side Story” and potentially making “The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara,” a historical drama with Mark Rylance (via Variety).
