Indiana Jones producer didn’t fancy Crystal Skull either

“You never set out to do anything except make a great movie”

Seems even those involved in the film don’t think much of the fourth Indiana Jones film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008).

While she didn’t pinpoint where she thinks it went wrong, Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy – a long-time producer on the Indiana Jones films – agrees that Steven Spielberg’s last Indy film didn’t turn out as hoped.

“You never set out to do anything except make a great movie. Sometimes you hit that perfectly, and sometimes you don’t. In the case of Indy 4, I don’t think there’s any specific thing that any of us looked back on, except that we may not have had as strong a story as we wanted.”

Meantime, coinciding with a bunch of new images being released, a rumor has surfaced that the title of the upcoming fifth film could be this.
