Interview : Scott Terra – Daredevil

After battling mutated spiders in the recent "Eight Legged Freaks", you’d think young actor Scott Terra would be steering clear of running, jumping and battling for a while. But no, he jumped into something even more physically demanding, the role of young Matt Murdock in the blockbuster, "Daredevil". CLINT MORRIS talks to a star in the making.

Were you picked for the role because they thought you looked like a younger Ben Affleck?
Yes, I think that was one of the deciding factors. Also, Mark Steven Johnson (the director) said that he liked my natural style of acting.

What were you required to do for your part – any physical scenes?
Yes, I had lots of gymnastics and stunts to do. I had a fight scene as well.

Did you happen to read any of the comic books?
I read some after I got the part but I had no idea about the character of Daredevil before I made the movie.

How was it working with Ben, Jennifer, Kevin Smith etc?
I never met Kevin Smith but I did meet Jennifer and Ben and they were very nice. I did not get to work with either of them because I was not in any scenes with them. I did however work with David Keith (he played my dad). He was really good to work with and he is a great actor.

Are you signed to appear in a sequel?
No

Who’s your fave all time superhero?
Daredevil, because he’s a real person who can get hurt and he doesn’t have any super human powers except for his heightened senses.

Are you expecting to become VERY Famous after Daredevil?
No, I am not expecting it but it would be very nice.

What’s next for you?
I’m not sure. But I am looking forward to the release of my next movie, "Dickie Roberts; Former Child Star" where I play opposite David Spade.
