Invisible Man : Depp out, Moss in

Universal’s “Invisible Man” remake is back on – with Johnny Depp now out, and “Mad Men” alumna Elisabeth Moss in.

Leigh Whannell is writing and directing the film. “Invisible Man” marks the first major venture in the studio’s fresh strategy for Universal’s monsters properties, bringing creative directors with distinctive visions to the classic characters and moving on from the original idea to have an interconnected “Dark Universe.”

Depp, who was due to play the title character, is no longer onboard, according to Variety.

No word on which role Moss, next in Universal’s “Us,” Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated “Get Out” follow-up, will play.
