James Wan directing I Know What You Did Last Summer remake!

The long-proposed remake of ‘90s teen horror classic “I Know What You Did Last Summer” is now being crafted as a TV series as opposed to a feature film.

Deadline says James Wan, of “Saw”, “Insidious” and “Aquaman” fame, would direct the pilot for the new take – which would be produced by Amazon – with Neal Moritz, producer of the feature film trilogy (yes, there were three “I Know” films), onboard to steer the ship.

The original 1997 film was directed by Jim Gillespie and written by Kevin Williamson.
