Every few years, someone from the “Austin Powers” camp – be it star Mike Myers or director Jay Roach – curves the mouthpieces of the fans by declaring that there’s talk of a fourth installment in the hit comedy series.
This week, Jay Roach says it again : “Austin Powers 4” has been discussed.
“You know, Mike Myers and I talk about it every time we get together”, the “All the Way” director tells Larry King. I would say it’s in a latent phase right now, but someday if we find the right idea that seems to have it earn itself, for sure. Mike gave me the break of a lifetime in letting me direct [Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery] so I’m always good to go.”
In other words, don’t hold your breath.
