Reports are “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will feature a female Robin, and rumour has it actress Jena Malone is set to take on the role.
The word is that Malone is going to play Carrie Kelley. In Frank Miller’s “The Dark Night Returns” – a story from which Zack Snyder’s film has drawn some influence – Carrie Kelley becomes a female Robin.
WILX-10 News, a local news station in Detroit, broke the story while speaking to one of the extras at Michigan State University where filming was taking place this week.
“I’ve also learned that the character of Robin is now female,” he said.
Malone has also been spotted on the Warner Bros set donning a new red hairdo.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and Jesse Eisenberg and will hit cinemas on March 25, 2016.
