“San Andreas” helmer Brad Peyton will direct new Netflix darling – she recently signed a first look deal with Netflix to produce a slate of films and TV series – Jennifer Lopez in sci-fi thriller “Atlas”.
According to Variety, the “Hustlers” actress will play an AI soldier who decides the only way to win the war is to end humanity. She teams up with another AI to pull off the mission impossible.
The script was panned by Leo Sardarian and rewritten by Aaron Eli Coleite.
“Having the chance to direct Jennifer in the title role of this movie is a dream come true, as I know she’ll bring the incredible strength, depth and authenticity we’ve all come to admire from her work,” Peyton said.
