Jodie Foster to star in next season of True Detective

Oscar Winner Jodie Foster will star in the next instalment of the “True Detective” series at HBO.

Titled “True Detective : Night Country”, the series sees the “Silence of the Lambs” actress play Detective Liz Danvers in a story that sees “Danvers and Evangeline Navarro who are looking to solve the case of six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanishing without a trace, when the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska. The pair will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice”, per Deadline.

The series, hailing from writer/director Issa López and executive producer Barry Jenkins, marks Foster’s first TV series as an adult.
