In addition to Christian Bale, David O.Russell is said to be eyeing Angelina Jolie, Jamie Foxx and Margot Robbie for his next venture, being fast-tracked at Arnon Milchan’s Regency.
The film, the official title and plot of which are being kept under wraps, is tentatively known as “Amsterdam”.
According to Collider, who have the news on the aforesaid trio’s association with the project, “it will follow the unlikely partnership between a doctor and a lawyer.”
According to the site, O.Russell regular Jennifer Lawrence was initially the top pick to star opposite former Batman Bale in the project but Robbie (next in the sweet-tracking”Birds of Prey”) has now emerged as the frontrunner for the female lead. Jolie and Foxx would assumingly play supporting roles.
O.Russell has another project he’s developing, set to star Robert De Niro, but it’s still a couple of years off.
Bale and O.Russell collaborated on “American Hustle” and “The Fighter”.
